Professor South is the Owner and Founder of National Martial Arts. He has been training since 2004 and has earned Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Hapkido, and Taekwondo. Michael is extremely passionate about teaching Martial Arts to kids and adults and has been doing so full-time for 12 years now. Michael is also an active Jiu Jitsu competitor and Fight2Win Pro veteran with a professional record of 2 wins and no losses.
Adelaide is a BJJ Blue Belt as well as a Registered Dietitian. She began her Jiu Jitsu journey in 2013 and has also been practicing Yoga for over 14 years now. As the Ladies Jiu Jitsu Instructor, Mrs. South is highly dedicated to helping people through Jiu Jitsu, Nutrition Counseling, and Yoga.
Matt “Action” Jackson
Operations Manager, Krav Maga Instructor, Jiu Jitsu Coach
“Action” Jackson is a U.S. Army Combat Veteran that has served tours of Duty in Bosnia and Afghanistan.Matt has been a passionate Martial Artist training under Prof. South since 2010. He currently teaches Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga classes while also serving as the Operations Manager. He is Krav Maga Black Belt and a 4 Stripe Purple Belt in Jiu Jitsu.
Coach Troy is a BJJ Brown Belt under Prof. South as well as an active competitor. He is AED, CPR, and First Aid Certified. Marshall is an official Ambassador of the We Defy Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps veterans all over America in various ways through Jiu Jitsu.
Mr. Taylor has been teaching Martial Arts to Kids and Adults for over a decade now. He holds Black Belts in Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Hapkido- as well as a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Curtis is also an accomplished Kickboxing and Karate Competitor.
Coach Hatfield Brown Belt under Professor South. John has been training martial arts for almost 20 years and has been training BJJ for over 8 years. His passion for helping people through the art of Jiu Jitsu led to him leaving a career in engineering to join the National Martial Arts team in 2018. John is an avid and ambitious competitor with a 15-2 record at Purple Belt.
